You'd think this sort of feature would require a software engineer a while to develop...

My computer has a new and interesting ... quirk. Black text carries an alpha value of 0. I've seen it happen in two completely unrelated applications that do not support this sort of feature - at least as far as I know. It's like the text has been hole punched out, and instead it shows whatever is directly behind the window. Including other windows.

I'm not sure what to make of it, or if I should even try to fix it. It's kinda neat, if not occasionally unreadable.


That actually sounds kind of awesome, to be honest. It would be cooler if there were a way to guarantee that'd be readable.
That's just it - seems great, until you get a light window in the background. Then it's beige on white...
